Mactaquac Provincial Park is a broad woodland and recreation complex along the scenic Saint John River in New Brunswick. You’ll find a variety of outdoor activities throughout the year in this riverside playground. Discover the beauty of this 525-ha (1,300-acre) masterpiece along one of the many walking trails (one of which is wheelchair accessible), and enjoy interpretive walks through our pristine beaver pond nature reserve. Or take the fun to new heights with a TreeGO Mactaquac Aerial Adventure.

Stay awhile at the Mactaquac Provincial Park campground with over 300 campsites to choose from. While you’re there, take a dip in the Park’s freshwater beaches or tee-up at the Mactaquac Golf Course. Bringing the whole family? Mactaquac’s recreation centre provides entertainment that’ll keep the kids busy. There’s always something to celebrate in the Park, so keep your eye out for upcoming family-friendly events below. The Clubhouse is also home to MOCO Kitchen. With beautiful views and casual fine dining featuring local ingredients, the restaurant is great for a quick bite out with friends, a nice meal with the family, or the perfect date night.

Mactaquac is also home to two marina’s, the Mactaquac Power Boat Marina and the York Centennial Sailboat Marina.

Mactaquac Provincial Park’s campground provides more than 300 campsites in both open and wooded areas (2 of which are wheelchair accessible) and features laundry facilities, hot showers and kitchen shelters. The recreation centre provides children’s entertainment and activities. The campers’ store is convenient to stock up on groceries, propane, firewood and snacks.

Mactaquac Provincial Park’s freshwater lifeguarded beaches are a perfect place for a picnic, to relax in the sun and splash away in the water with your children. For the adventure-inclined, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing can all be enjoyed in the park’s waters. The main beach is supervised from July to Labour Day weekend. It has change houses, washrooms, parking, food service, campground, showers and picnic areas. Pets are not allowed on the beach, but they are (on a leash) in the rest of the park.

The fun doesn’t stop once summer is over at...

The fun doesn’t stop once summer is over at Mactaquac Provincial Park. The park is open admission-free in the winter so you can enjoy several winter activities or relax in the warm, welcoming lodge.

Grab a toboggan and zip down one of the 2 groomed sledding hills (Top 10 in Canada!) Mactaquac offers complimentary cross country skis and snowshoes to try out on our groomed trails. Skate around a .4 hectare (1-acre) skating pond. Winter walkers can enjoy a well-maintained trail that begins at the park's main gate and continues through Campground 1. Leashed dogs are welcome.

The park is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the winter, with the sliding hills and skating pond lit nightly until closing. Please call ahead for weather conditions prior to cross-country skiing, ice skating or tobogganing.
